Economics Education Students Attended the Annual PERMATA Program 2018

Padang - FE UNP. PERMATA or Tanah Air Nusantara student exchange was an activity organized by Majelis Rektor Perguruan Tinggi Negeri Indonesia (MRPTNI) in cooperation with Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. This activity was intended to provide opportunities for university students throughout the country to attend relevant lectures at other universities accross the archipelago. Moreover, these activities consisted of academic activities in the form of credit score transfer and acquisition, non-academic activities in the form of extra-curricular activities, included cross-cultural understanding activities as long as meets the established criteria.

In PERMATA program 2018, Economic Education Department, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) delegated 5 students from 45 delegates from UNP. The listed students consisted of:

1. Nurfitriana Kasman went to Universitas Negeri Gorontalo,

2. Masniari went to Universitas Negeri Manado

3. Shelly Indriastuty went to Universitas Negeri Medan

4. Gilang Oritaliano Putra went to Universitas Negeri Jakarta, and

5. Hermai Nisa Putri went to Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia

The Chairman of the Economic Education Department, Tri Kurniawati, S.Pd., M.Pd said that this activity was the form of credit transfer, which provided opportunities for the students took 16 credit hours in other teacher training institute/university. The Economic Education Department was currently a member of various associations (LPTK), such as APE LPTK, ASPROPENDO, APRODISI and APSIBI who had been equalized curriculum to support the PERMATA program.

By this PERMATA activity, expected that students not only could improve their spirit of nationalism, integrity, and solidarity, through intercultural learning, but also could develop both students' leadership skills and soft skills.
