Padang—The Faculty of Economics of Universitas Negeri Padang (FE UNP) has a strong commitment to share a result and find out the latest development of economics. The Rector of UNP, Prof. Ganefri, Ph.D officially opened the International Seminar with entitled “International Conference on Economic, Education, Business, and Accounting (PICEEBA)”. There are 230 scientific articles from researchers which come from various universities in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Pakistan. However, after reviewing process only 110 scientific articles will be presented and published in the Auditorium Prof. Kamaluddin, Faculty of Economics of Universitas Negeri Padang on June 15-16, 2019.
Dean of Faculty of Economics, Dr. Idris said that International Seminar had been routinely carried out twice a year at by Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Padang with theme “Creating Competitive Advantage Through Sustainable Innovation In the IR 4.0.” The topics or scopes of this seminar include Economics, Management, Accounting, Economics Science, and Entrepreneurship.
In addition, Dr. Idris also explained that the purpose of the implementation of this seminar is to share the result and find out the latest developments between researchers in the world of sciences. The theme of the 3rd PICEEBA in this seminar was adjusted to the latest trends, and issues of development of Business and Economics in the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0. Furthermore, this International Seminar can also be a forum for masters and Doctoral students at the Faculty of Economics in presenting the result of their researches.
The Head of the Committee, Vidyarini Dwita, Ph.D said that the researchers who participated in the 3rd PICEEBA 2019 are able to disseminate the results of the research, so that the result of the research can be widely published, accepting the input and responses from other researchers. Furthermore, this event also useful to expand the relationships among students, researchers, and lecturers.
The third PICEEBA presented five world-class speakers from various The world's leading universities like: 1. Prof. Dr. Rushmi Zien Yusoff (Professor of Quality Management, Universiti Utara Malaysia), 2. Prof. Dr. Syamsul Amar B (Professor of Economics Development, Universitas Negeri Padang), 3. Dr. Max Briggs (Associate Professor in Advertising and Public Relations, Queensland University of Technology Australia), 4. Prof. Dr. Abdul Raziq (Professor in Small & Medium Enterprises, IQRA University, Pakistan), and 5. Prof. Madya. Dr. Mohammad bin Ismail (Professor in Entrepreneurship and Business, Universiti Kelantan Malaysia).
“So far, the 3rd PICEEBA has received 230 scientific articles from various university researchers from various Indonesia, Malaysia and Pakistan, but after reviewing process only 110 scientific articles were presentation and publication. The article that passed will be published on the Atlantis Press Proceedings indexed by ICPI-S. The web of Science, SINTA, EBSCO, Clarivate Analytics, Thomson Reuters, DOAJ, and CNKI Scholar,” said Vidyarini. (Public Relations of UNP)
