Padang - FE UNP. A special appearance was presented at the closing ceremony of 3rd Exoteek 2016, the first performance of The Economist Band whose personnels are lecturers of Faculty of Economics UNP. The members of The Economist Band are Okki Trinanda, SE., MM (Vocal / Bass), Alpon Satrianto, SE., ME (Drum / Vocal), Arief Maulana, SE., MM (guitar) and Dr. Marwan, M.Pd. (Keyboard). The band performed two songs Janji (originally performed by Gigi) and Penjaga Hati (originally performed by Ari Lasso). The band’s performance received a standing ovation from the audience of 3rd Exoteek
The Associate Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. Efrizal Sofyan, SE., M.Sc., Ak., CA., who attended the event expressed his appreciation to The Economist Band, and say that this is the first performance in the Faculty by a band comprised of lecturers. The Economist band's name was given by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Prof. Dr. Yunia Wardi, Drs., M.Si., who also initiated the establishment of the band. The name has a philosophical sense, a band whose members are economists. In the future, The Dean hopes that The Economist Band can performed regularly primarily in various functions organized by the Faculty and the University. (yfz-sd)
